When I enter a coaching session, I know I can trust her to meet me at whatever mindset I’m in. One of my biggest challenges has to do with play, and surrendering into the creativity of the moment. As a teaching artist, this is a vital part of my effectiveness, but I’ve been so blocked that I would probably continue to put this endeavor on the back burner if it wasn’t for Lisa’s sharp intuition and persistence. Lisa pulls me back when I use avoidant tactics, and helps me consider new ways to add play back into my work. My students, my child, and my art are benefitting from her guidance and support as I work on an area that has felt nearly impossible to change.

I appreciate that she can respectfully adjust her language to her client’s level of comfort with spirituality. When I felt safe, I began to bring in my own language with a sense of safety and trust.

What I value most with her sessions, is her “homework”. Often times we don’t create a difference in our lives just by talking it out, but by putting forward an action. Which is probably one of the hardest/ scariest/ uncomfortable things to do sometimes. Along with that, you can start to realize some pretty amazing things about yourself along the way just by her nudging u in the right direction.

I can see a difference in my life by having her in it. It has opened up my eyes on certain triggers I wasn’t aware of before and working on them with her. She creates such a safe and loving space.
